Some people wrote in their reviews that it is not so clean. Our room was absolutely clean. I would like to clarify the cleaning regime. If you are staying for longer than six days you get the room cleaned before you arrive. If you want additional cleaning you can request it at the reception or before arrival. You have the prices on the hotel website. It is very helpful that they have both skype and email communication so you can reach them for questions. There are five buildings a to F. We were in D. b -> f appear the same : 7 floors with 10 rooms on each, each floor has it's kitchen and each building has it's own pool. The pool area is awesome although the pool is little bit small. Big views and nice boardwalk to sunbath anywhere and it is simply a bonus for that price. The security is excellent. There is a magnetic key on the entrance of the complex (like for metro) than into individual building than of course for your room. There is also a safe in the room that costs extra (can't remember the price I think it was cheap) . Internet functions very good via cable. They offer cables if you don't have one. The location is excellent for someone that enjoys tourism in their own organization. It is 1.4 km, 8-12 minutes to Nova Icaria beach (much better than the mainstream Barceloneta) and around the same amount from the city center, about 2km from Las Ramblas. There is a metro station Marina , l1 very near the hotel and also very near t4 tram station for going the other way in the city. There aren't any good restaurants near the hotel but there are a couple of places with good sandwiches and two market and on fresh produce market. Ask for a small map at the reception.

The biggest problem for me was the shower. We knew the bathroom would be small but it is nicely organized. The problem is the shower. It has a curtain instead of a plastic booth and there is no drain on the floor so water collects fast on the floor and the shower head is fixed and has poor flow. Although there is always hot water which is good. I do recommend this hotel for budget to medium travelers (singles that need a wired internet and young couples) but if you are going bring yourself a rag for wiping the floor in the bathroom. Second problem: The kitchen is nice, clean and smartly organized but there is almost no utensils. It has a microwave, oven, divide spaces in the fridge for each room, big couch and bench but the problem is almost no forks, knifes, etc.. I think there were zero glasses on our floor. Third but small problem: The window only opens from the top. If you want to dry your towels this is much harder than if it opened all the way.

The modern look and security features were great

Nobody told us the towels would not be changed and the bathroom space was rather limited. The shower curtain was too long and became disgusting with usage and the fact that you cannot hold the shower in your hand did not help. Would not stay for more than two nights!

Value for money, hotel staff was very helpful. The area (Marina) is very nice, clean and safe. Metro (l1) very close which gives easy access to the city center . few dinning places in surrounding, not that good, but acceptable. The room is cozy, bed and pillow are comfortable, the thing I love most is the window gives nice view of city and curtains are so special if you close them day time, no light in the room good for nap.

1)When I booked the hotel, it was not mentioned that hotel will charge for the whole stay at the time on check in. As per rules, guest suppose pay at the time of check out. 2) Bathroom was very small but manageable, however, there was no drainage system on the floor. Whole floor could get wet while using wash basin. 3) I had sent 2,3 emails to Residencia Hotel before leaving for Barcelona, asking them for the directions from Airport to their hotel, but they never replied. It was very disappointing.

Very good location if you travel from Girona Airport (ryanair) - just 10 min away from bus station - Estacio del Nord. Clean and modern designed rooms, access to kitchen.

Small room, lack of restaurant in the building

Near tram and metro stations. Easy to find and well-connected to different parts of the city.

Toilet paper was not replenished, hence not enough for 5 days.

It's very well located.

The apartments are no cleaned everyday. Also the bed linens and towels are not changed everyday. If you want to get them clean you must use the laundry.

Helpful staff, good security, simple but well laid out room with nice bathroom and fast (wired) internet connection. Very near to tram stop.

Was noisey on one night but otherwise no problems.

I spent 80 3 people in one room per day, which it is really cheap. And almost the place is clean. However, the wifi really needs improvement, especially if for iphone. Overall, if for simple accomodation, it is worth to be recommended.

Nicely situated close to the city centre with excellent bus, metro and tram services nearby. The room was small yet comfortable with a very good shower and toilet facilities. The kitchen/lounge area was also well equipped with ample 'tools for the job' except for a lack of tea towels for 'washing-up' after a meal. Also, tea mugs or cups would have been welcome as we English do tend to enjoy a 'cuppa' rather than a bowl for this beverage. We bought our own mugs though!

As a comment, the nearby students/young people were rather noisy in the middle of the night and so we had to close our window and put on the air conditioning which is not as good as fresh air in the room. Having said that they were, in the main, youngsters enjoying themselves and we simply recalled being young and boisterous ourselves at their age so, no problem really.

It was good value for your money, a no-nonsense hotel. I was pleased with the experience and would repeate it again if and when in Barcelona. It was quiet and peaceful.

The biggest plus is that the hotel is close to the main attractions. Quite friendly staff, the room was clean, safe area and another great thing is the shared kitchen. Very useful.

Perfect location for sight-seeing, beach etc. Metro station is only a 5 min walk away, 15 min to the central bus station . Sun roof with swimming pool is perfect and the kitchen facilities were clean, as were the rooms. Rooms are tiny but so is the price. :-) More than sufficient for a couple of days.

melon district marina was clean, staff were very helpful, the location was good, the view, especially from the roof, great and value was excellent

no mugs and very few glasses in the kitchen no bottle opener in the kitchen - so not fully equiped?
